Happy Mardi Gras. . .

Mardi Gras is a party but much more than that! Our beads and very unusual Mardi Gras postcards will be going out tonight (pictures will follow). This marks the start of the Pre-Lenten Season. Yes it is grand parades, costumes and sometimes a tad wild but my favorite thing is. . . The sweet tradition you may have heard of: eating king cake—and finding the “baby” inside of it. Sunday Morning–Relax and Enjoy–Be Inspired!

Sunday is our day to relax–after we feed the cats, put out the Weekly Newsletter and most importantly –Make the Coffee!! Even though it is only two of us, I love to have a nice table. Today we are having leftover Holiday Overnite French Toast. WInter Plates are the best and inspiring to see how they are painted and how you can hook them. LOVE to use Brandy Sniffers for the OJ–just the right portion. The syrup is in a cheeseball dish, we don’t make many cheeseballs (could be why I lost weight) so the syrup and spoon works perfectly!

Inspire!

For some time, I have resisted a blog. However with the 2025 Word of the Year being INSPIRE, it is time to start! I had hoped to start right at January 1st but January 3rd is close enough. Inspire! will cover many topics—rug hooking, wool, cooking, baking (with recipes), how I approach decorating, the Farm, and of course, the furbabies. This will be a new adventure for me and you!
